My picture represents what I want to be when I am a senior. It shows in this picture because the pencil in my hair represents how I want to be a better study in English class. The pencil also says how I want to be a better art student. My hair up in a bun shows that I want to be more formal with how I present myself. My hair still being red shows that I still want to have a creative and fun side to me when I am a senior. Me smiling shows that I want to be happy and proud of myself for the work I've done over the four years of high school.
I feel like this is a good comparison to the girl the pearl earring portrait, because we both make great changes from beginning to end. Such as, at first Griet is very calm and quiet and doesn't really show a lot of emotions. Pg. 57 "But he was my master. I was meant to do as he said."This relates to me because As a freshman I am very quiet and don't like to stand out very much the crowd, but as a senior I hope to be more comfortable with myself. In my picture I feel like I show confidence, because I'm not wearing any makeup to disguis my true self. I feel like my picture also connects to the girl with a Pearl earring, because at the end she is confident and bold with herself and I hope to be that way is a senior. Pg 222, "I raised my eyebrows. I complained before to my mother that she asked too many questions."
